Texas Offers 2027 DE Hunter Brown of Wayzata Trojans
The University of Texas has extended a scholarship offer to Hunter Brown, a 6-foot-4, 220-pound defensive end from Wayzata High School in Plymouth, Minnesota. Brown, a rising junior and Class of 2027 prospect, has already seen interest from other Power Five programs, including Nebraska and Iowa State. In his sophomore season, Brown recorded 34 tackles, 12 tackles for loss and 5 sacks, helping the Trojans reach the Section 6AA championship game. He is expected to participate in the upcoming Minnesota Football Coaches Association (MFCA) summer camp, where he will look to further showcase his skills in front of college scouts. Brown's recruiting timeline is expected to heat up in the coming months, with several Big Ten and Pac-12 programs also showing interest. He has stated a desire to make a decision by the end of his junior year, allowing him to focus on his senior season and potentially sign during the early signing period in December 2027.
