De Smet DE Elijah Davis Seeks Redemption After ACL Injury
Spartans' sophomore defensive end Elijah Davis has been a force to be reckoned with on the field, racking up 12 sacks in his freshman season. However, his promising career was derailed when he suffered a season-ending ACL injury in the spring of his sophomore year. Now, as a rising junior, Davis is back on the field and vying for a starting role. The Class of 2025 standout has been putting in extra work this offseason, honing his skills and rebuilding his strength. "I'm just taking it one day at a time," Davis said. "I'm not thinking about the past or worrying about the future. I'm just focusing on getting back to where I was before the injury." With the Spartans competing in the Class 5 Missouri high school football landscape, Davis will have his work cut out for him. Scouts are watching to see if he can regain his dominant form and become a top prospect in the state of Missouri.
