Hazelwood Central K Cameron Smith Commits to Army
Cameron Smith, a Class of 2025 kicker for the Hazelwood Central Hawks, has committed to Army. Smith, a 6-foot standout, chose the Black Knights due to their strong emphasis on special teams, which aligns with his skills and playing style. Army's depth chart at kicker is currently open, providing Smith with an opportunity to compete for a starting position. Additionally, Smith was drawn to Army's rigorous academic program, which will challenge him to excel both on and off the field. Smith previously held offers from several other service academies, but ultimately decided on Army after a thorough evaluation of his options. The decommitment from a Power Five program earlier this spring allowed Smith to focus on the Black Knights, ultimately leading to his decision to commit to Army. Smith is expected to report to West Point in the summer of 2027.
