Starkville Yellow Jackets Hire New Offensive Line Coach
The Starkville Yellow Jackets have hired former Tupelo High School coach, Tyler Wilson, as their new offensive line coach. Wilson replaces longtime assistant, Mark Smith, who retired in May. The Jackets finished last season 8-4 overall and 4-2 in Region 1-6A, narrowly missing the playoffs. With the addition of Wilson, Starkville's coaching staff is expected to focus on rebuilding the team's line, which struggled with injuries and inconsistency last season. The Jackets are considered a top contender in Region 1-6A, and Wilson's hiring is seen as a major boost to their chances of making a deep playoff run. Wilson's experience in the area and his ability to recruit top talent will be key in helping the Jackets compete with the best teams in the state.
