Carson Wilson Commits to SMU
West Point Green Wave senior offensive lineman Carson Wilson has committed to play for the SMU Mustangs. Wilson, a 5A prospect, cited the Mustangs' pro-style offense as a key factor in his decision, feeling it aligns with his skills and abilities. He also noted the opportunity to compete for a starting position on the SMU depth chart. Academically, Wilson was drawn to SMU's strong business program, which he plans to pursue in the fall. Wilson initially committed to Arkansas State in 2023 but decommitted in January 2024 to explore other options. He participated in SMU's summer camp in June, where he reportedly impressed coaches with his technique and work ethic. Wilson's commitment adds to SMU's growing class of 2025 recruits, which now stands at 15 players. The Mustangs are looking to rebuild their offense this season after a disappointing 2025 campaign.
