The Missoula Sentinel Spartans football program has officially broken ground on a $2 million facility upgrade, a move expected to significantly bolster the team's recruiting and competitive prospects in the AA classification. The Spartans finished last season with a 6-4 record and will look to build on that momentum with the new facilities. The upgrades include a state-of-the-art weight room, expanded locker rooms and improved field conditions. With the new facilities, the Spartans are expected to attract top talent from the region, potentially vaulting them into the upper echelon of AA programs in Montana. The team will begin summer camp in late July, with the regular season set to kick off in late August.
