Wolfpack LBs: Master the 'Shuttle Stance' Drill for Dominant Defense
Kalispell Glacier Wolfpack linebackers, it's time to take your game to the next level. This summer, focus on mastering the 'Shuttle Stance' drill to improve your reaction time, agility, and tackling ability. Set up three cones in a zig-zag pattern, 5 yards apart. Start in a three-point stance, with your feet shoulder-width apart and your weight evenly distributed. On the whistle, quickly change direction, shuffling your feet to the next cone. Complete 3 sets of 10 reps, resting for 30 seconds between sets. Coaching cues: 'Quick feet, quick hands!' and 'Shuttle, don't stride!' This drill translates to game performance by allowing you to quickly react to opposing ball carriers and make tackles in tight spaces. With consistent practice, you'll be a force to be reckoned with on the field.
