Carson Robinson Commits to Texas Tech
Butte Bulldogs running back Carson Robinson, a Class of 2027 prospect, has committed to Texas Tech University. The 5-foot-10, 180-pound back chose the Red Raiders over offers from Montana State and Idaho. Robinson cited Texas Tech's spread offense as a key factor in his decision, stating it aligns with his skill set and playing style. He also praised the program's depth chart opportunity, noting the Red Raiders' need for a versatile back. Academically, Robinson was drawn to Texas Tech's strong engineering program, which he plans to pursue. Robinson had previously committed to the University of Montana but decommitted in April after re-evaluating his options. With his commitment to Texas Tech, Robinson becomes the first Butte Bulldog to pledge to the program since 2019. The Bulldogs are looking to build on their 2025 playoff appearance and Robinson's addition is expected to boost their backfield production.
