As the inaugural 2028 season for the University of Nebraska's Power 5 women's flag football program approaches, multisport athletes from the Butte area are taking notice. The Bulldogs' own star athlete, a standout in track and field, is now focusing on flag football as a potential college pathway. With verified scholarship programs at the University of Nebraska, Ottawa University, Kansas, Keiser University, Florida, and Midland University, Nebraska, this athlete has a clear route to securing a spot on a top team. Coaches Liz and Katie Sowers at the University of Nebraska are actively recruiting talented players, while Ottawa University, Kansas, offers up to 12 scholarships. Keiser University, Florida, and Midland University, Nebraska, are also actively recruiting multisport athletes. To increase her chances, the athlete should create a highlight tape showcasing her skills and submit it to the University of Nebraska and other interested programs.
