Lock Down the 4A: CB Drill for Vance Cougars
Vance Cougars cornerbacks, get ready to take your game to the next level with the 'Shadow Stance' drill. This exercise will improve your ability to stay in phase with receivers and react to the ball in flight. Set up two cones 5 yards apart, with a third cone 10 yards downfield. Start in a backpedal stance, then quickly transition to a forward lean, keeping your eyes on the quarterback. Focus on staying low and balanced, with your inside foot forward. Perform 3 sets of 10 reps, resting for 30 seconds between sets. Coaching cues: 'Stay low, stay loose, and stay on the quarterback's eyes.'
