Mallard Creek Flag Prospects Eye NAIA Powerhouses at Ottawa University, Keiser University
The Mallard Creek Mavericks, a powerhouse in North Carolina 4A flag football, are primed for the inaugural 2028 NCAA D1 season. Coaches Liz and Katie Sowers at the University of Nebraska are actively recruiting top talent. However, local flag prospects may also consider NAIA options. Ottawa University, Kansas, and Keiser University, Florida, are national powerhouses with up to 12 scholarships available. Both institutions are actively recruiting and offer summer camps for aspiring athletes. The Mavericks' top flag players are encouraged to visit Ottawa University's Kansas City, Kansas, campus or Keiser University's West Palm Beach, Florida, campus for a chance to learn more about their scholarship programs.
