Chambers Cougars Break Ground on $1M Facility Upgrade

The Chambers Cougars, a 4A program from Charlotte, broke ground on a $1 million facility upgrade Friday. The project, set to be completed before the start of the season, includes renovations to the team's locker room, weight room and practice field. The upgrade comes after a 5-6 record last season, the Cougars' first under head coach Michael Johnson. The facility upgrade is expected to boost recruiting efforts, with the Cougars already receiving interest from several top prospects in the region. The upgrade also positions the Cougars to compete with other top 4A programs in the Charlotte area, including the highly touted Providence Day Raiders.
