Marcus Young Commits to University of Houston
Marcus Young, a safety from Fargo Shanley High School in the Class of 2027, has committed to play football at the University of Houston. The 6-foot-1, 180-pound prospect chose the Cougars over offers from several other Power Five programs, citing the team's aggressive defensive scheme as a key factor in his decision. Young believes he will have an opportunity to contribute immediately, potentially filling a void at safety in the Cougars' secondary. The University of Houston's strong academic programs, including its renowned business school, also played a role in Young's decision. Young had previously considered several other schools, including Notre Dame and Oklahoma, before committing to the Cougars. He is expected to enroll at Houston in the summer of 2027 and participate in the team's summer camp.
