Fargo Shanley Deacons Break Ground on $1M Facility Upgrade
The Fargo Shanley Deacons, a Class AAA football program in Fargo, North Dakota, marked a major milestone Friday with the groundbreaking of a $1 million facility upgrade. The project, set to be completed by the start of the upcoming season, will feature a renovated locker room, expanded weight room and state-of-the-art training facilities. The upgrade is seen as a significant recruiting tool, with head coach Tom B. Slette saying it will allow the program to attract top talent from the region. The Deacons finished 7-3 last season and are looking to build on that success in 2026. With the upgrade, Slette believes the program is poised to compete with the best in the state, saying 'This will give us the edge we need to take our program to the next level.'
