Mandan Braves CBs: Master the 'Shadow Shuffle' Drill

๐Ÿ“ Mandan BravesยทThursday, July 23, 2026ยทFridayNightPulse Insider

Cornerbacks at top AA programs like the Mandan Braves need to be quick, agile, and able to stay with receivers down the field. The 'Shadow Shuffle' drill is designed to improve these skills. Set up four cones in a small square, with one cone in the center. The CB starts at the center cone, then shuffles to the left and right, touching each cone with their outside foot. After completing the shuffle, they quickly change direction and sprint to the next cone. Repeat for 3 sets of 10 reps. Coaching cues include 'quick feet' and 'stay low.' This drill translates to game performance by improving the CB's ability to stay with receivers and quickly change direction on the field.
