West Fargo Packers Girls Flag Football Players Eye Nebraska's 2028 Inaugural Season

The University of Nebraska's announcement of an inaugural girls flag football program in 2028 has sent shockwaves through the North Dakota high school football community. For West Fargo Packers players, this development presents a new opportunity for scholarship consideration. The Cornhuskers, led by coaches Liz and Katie Sowers, will join the Big Ten Conference in 2028. Ottawa University, Kansas, and Keiser University, Florida, have already established strong flag football programs, offering up to 12 scholarships at Ottawa University and actively recruiting at Keiser University. Midland University, Nebraska, is also an active recruiter. Athletes from the West Fargo Packers can take concrete steps to prepare for these programs by attending summer camps and creating highlight tapes showcasing their skills. By doing so, they can increase their chances of being noticed by these programs and potentially securing a scholarship for the 2028 season.
