Kearney Bearcats running back Noah Harris has committed to Southern Methodist University. Harris, a Class of 2027 prospect, chose SMU over other Division I offers. The 5-foot-10, 185-pound back excels in the Bearcats' zone-blocking scheme, where he has rushed for 1,200 yards and 15 touchdowns as a sophomore. Harris cited SMU's strong depth chart opportunity as a key factor in his decision, as he projects to compete for a starting role immediately. Additionally, he praised the university's academic program, which offers a strong emphasis on business and entrepreneurship. Harris previously committed to another program but reopened his recruitment in January. He plans to sign with SMU in December.
