Carson Young Commits to UTSA
Lincoln East Spartans defensive end Carson Young has committed to the University of Texas at San Antonio (UTSA) for the 2025 season. Young, a Class of 2025 prospect, chose the Roadrunners due to their 3-4 defensive scheme, which aligns with his athletic abilities. The Spartans' coaching staff believes Young's pass-rushing skills will be a valuable asset in UTSA's scheme. Additionally, Young is drawn to UTSA's strong academic program, which offers a range of engineering and business courses. This marks Young's first commitment, as he previously maintained a commitment to the University of Nebraska but reopened his recruitment in April. With his commitment to UTSA, Young becomes the first Lincoln East Spartans player to pledge to the program. Young's recruitment was closely watched by college coaches, and his decision is seen as a significant addition to the Roadrunners' 2025 class.
