Lincoln East Spartans RB Tyler Johnson Commits to Army

๐Ÿ“ Lincoln East SpartansยทFriday, July 3, 2026ยทFridayNightPulse Insider

Tyler Johnson, a standout running back from the Class of 2027 at Lincoln East Spartans in Lincoln, Nebraska, has committed to Army. Johnson, who stands 5-foot-11 and weighs 190 pounds, was a key contributor to the Spartans' offense last season, rushing for 1,200 yards and 12 touchdowns. The Army Black Knights' triple-option offense is a good fit for Johnson's skills, and he is expected to compete for playing time at running back or fullback. Johnson was also impressed by Army's academic programs, particularly the West Point Military Academy's emphasis on leadership development. Johnson had previously committed to Nebraska but reopened his recruitment in February. He is the first commit for the Class of 2027 at Army.
