Omaha Burke Bulldogs Girls Flag Football Program Sees Rise in National Scholarship Opportunities

๐Ÿ“ Omaha Burke BulldogsยทSaturday, July 4, 2026ยทFridayNightPulse Insider

As the NSAA flag football pilot district expansion creates new scholarship pathways for Texas athletes, the Omaha Burke Bulldogs girls flag football program is poised to capitalize on the growing national landscape. With the University of Nebraska's inaugural 2028 season on the horizon, led by coaches Liz and Katie Sowers, local talent can now pursue Power 5 opportunities. Ottawa University, Kansas, and Keiser University, Florida, have also been actively recruiting top Nebraska talent. Midland University, Nebraska, is another NAIA powerhouse offering scholarships. While UT Arlington's NCAA D1 program is still in development, athletes can begin building relationships with coaches and preparing for future opportunities. For Omaha Burke Bulldogs, this expansion of scholarship pathways presents a unique chance to attract and retain top talent.
