Bellevue West Thunderbirds rising star, junior wide receiver Emily Wilson, has caught the attention of top Nebraska flag football programs. Wilson's exceptional speed and agility have drawn verified interest from the University of Nebraska, which will launch its inaugural NCAA Division I flag football program in 2028 under the guidance of coaches Liz and Katie Sowers. Ottawa University, Kansas, a national powerhouse with up to 12 NAIA scholarships available, has also reached out to Wilson's coaching staff. Additionally, Keiser University, Florida, and Midland University, Nebraska, have expressed interest in Wilson's recruitment. As Wilson begins her summer flag football camp at Bellevue West, she is advised to focus on her academics and athletic development to maximize her recruitment opportunities.
