Sprint to Success: Lincoln East Spartans S Players Master the 'Sprint to Transition' Drill
This summer, Lincoln East Spartans S players are gearing up for a dominant season with the 'Sprint to Transition' drill. The goal: to develop explosive speed and agility transitioning from a sprint to a quick change of direction. The drill consists of 3 sets of 5 reps: (1) 10-yard sprint, (2) 90-degree cut, and (3) 5-yard sprint back to the start. Coaching cues include 'explosive drive,' 'quick feet,' and 'stay low.' This drill translates to game performance by improving S players' ability to quickly close gaps and make tackles. It also enhances their agility in tight spaces, allowing them to stay one step ahead of opponents. By incorporating the 'Sprint to Transition' drill into their training regimen, Lincoln East Spartans S players will be ready to take on the competition this fall.
