Omaha Burke Bulldogs running backs, get ready to take your game to the next level with the 'Bull in the Ring' drill. This intense workout will improve your agility, acceleration, and power. Set up a 10-yard square with cones, with a 5-yard radius in the center. Start with 3 sets of 5 reps. Players will begin on the perimeter, then sprint to the center, making a sharp cut to change direction. As they enter the center, they'll explosively jump up, landing softly on both feet. Coach: 'Bull in the ring, eyes up, feet quick.' This drill translates to game performance by replicating the quick changes of direction and explosive acceleration required on the field. It also improves footwork and balance, essential for RBs. Run this drill 2-3 times a week to see improvement in your team's RBs.
