Lincoln East Spartans Girls Flag Football Players Target Verified Scholarship Programs

๐Ÿ“ Lincoln East SpartansยทSunday, July 19, 2026ยทFridayNightPulse Insider

As NSAA's flag football pilot district expansion creates new opportunities for Texas athletes, Lincoln East Spartans girls flag football players are focusing on verified scholarship programs. The Spartans' coaching staff is advising players to explore Power 4 programs like the University of Nebraska, which will launch its inaugural NCAA Division 1 flag football season in 2028 under coaches Liz and Katie Sowers. Other options include Ottawa University, Kansas, with up to 12 NAIA scholarships, and Keiser University, Florida, which is actively recruiting. Midland University, Nebraska, is also a viable option for local athletes. While UT Arlington is developing its NCAA Division 1 program, it has not yet begun offering scholarships. Players interested in these opportunities should contact the respective schools' coaching staffs for more information.
