Thunderbirds' Seniors Eye Nebraska's Inaugural Flag Football Season

As Bellevue West's senior class prepares for the 2026-27 school year, many are setting their sights on the University of Nebraska's inaugural NCAA Division 1 flag football season in 2028. Coached by Liz and Katie Sowers, the Cornhuskers will offer scholarships to top talent from across the country. Bellevue prospects can take advantage of verified scholarship pathways at Ottawa University, Kansas, which offers up to 12 NAIA scholarships, and Keiser University, Florida, an active recruiter in the NAIA Sun Conference. Midland University, Nebraska, also offers NAIA scholarships. Seniors can start by creating highlight tapes and researching these programs to position themselves for potential opportunities in 2028.
