Devon Wilson Commits to Baylor as Cornerback
Bellevue West Thunderbirds Class of 2025 cornerback Devon Wilson has committed to Baylor University to play football. Wilson, a 6-foot, 170-pound defensive back, chose the Bears for their athletic fit in the Big 12 Conference. Baylor's defensive scheme, which emphasizes aggressive man-to-man coverage, aligns with Wilson's strengths as a physical and ball-hawking corner. Wilson also cited the Bears' depth chart opportunity, as he is expected to compete for a starting role immediately. Additionally, Baylor's strong academic program, which offers a range of engineering and business majors, appealed to Wilson's academic interests. Wilson previously held a commitment to the University of Nebraska but decommitted in February after a coaching change. He attended summer camps at Baylor and developed a strong relationship with the coaching staff, ultimately leading to his decision to join the program.
