FridayNightPulse: Little Green Linebacker Drill
Manchester Central's linebackers will be putting in extra work this summer with a drill designed to improve their agility, reaction time, and tackling technique. The 'L-Drill' consists of three sets of 10 reps, with 30 seconds rest in between. Players start in a 3-point stance, then quickly change direction to the left and right, mimicking a defender reacting to a ball carrier. As they change direction, they must also drop their inside shoulder and keep their eyes on the target. Coaching cues include 'quick feet, quick hands' and 'eyes on the prize.' This drill translates to game performance by allowing linebackers to react quickly to ball carriers and make tackles in tight spaces. It's a challenging workout that will push the Little Green's linebackers to their limits this summer.
