Cade Davis Commits to SMU

Don Bosco Prep Ironmen defensive end Cade Davis has committed to play for the SMU Mustangs. The Class of 2025 standout chose SMU over other Division I offers, citing the program's 3-4 defensive scheme as a key factor in his decision. With a projected starting role on the edge in 2025, Davis believes the opportunity to contribute immediately will aid in his development as a player. Additionally, SMU's strong academic reputation and commitment to student-athlete success were major selling points for Davis, who maintains a 3.5 GPA. Davis previously held a commitment to Rutgers before decommitting in April. He is expected to enroll at SMU in January 2025 and participate in the spring semester.
