Jayden Smith Commits to UTSA
Seton Hall Prep Pirates tight end Jayden Smith has committed to the University of Texas at San Antonio Roadrunners for the Class of 2026. Smith, a 6-foot-4, 225-pound prospect, was a key contributor for the Pirates last season, hauling in 25 receptions for 375 yards and three touchdowns. The Non-Public A standout chose UTSA for its run-heavy offense, which should allow him to utilize his blocking skills and athleticism. He also cited the Roadrunners' strong tight end depth chart as a major factor in his decision. Additionally, Smith was impressed by UTSA's academic programs, particularly the university's business school. Smith had previously committed to another school but reopened his recruitment in May, ultimately deciding that UTSA was the best fit for his athletic and academic goals.
