Centennial Hawks Flag Football Recruits Eye Nebraska's 2028 Inaugural Season

๐Ÿ“ Centennial HawksยทWednesday, July 8, 2026ยทFridayNightPulse Insider

As the University of Nebraska prepares to launch its inaugural NCAA Division 1 flag football season in 2028, prospects from Las Cruces are taking notice. Coached by the Sowers sisters, Liz and Katie, the Cornhuskers are expected to be a major player in the Power 4. For Centennial Hawks flag football players, this means potential scholarship opportunities. Ottawa University, Kansas, a national powerhouse with up to 12 NAIA scholarships, is another option. Keiser University, Florida, and Midland University, Nebraska, are also actively recruiting. Meanwhile, UT Arlington is developing its program but has not yet announced scholarship offerings. Hawks players interested in flag football scholarships should focus on building their skills and creating highlight tapes to showcase their abilities. Coaches at these schools will begin recruiting in earnest this fall.
