Caleb Walker Commits to UTSA Roadrunners
Caleb Walker, a 6A wide receiver from the Class of 2027 Cibola Cougars, has committed to the University of Texas at San Antonio Roadrunners. Walker, a standout athlete, chose UTSA due to the team's Air Raid offense, which aligns with his skills and playing style. He also cited the opportunity to contribute immediately as a freshman, given the team's depth chart and coaching staff's emphasis on developing young talent. Additionally, Walker was drawn to UTSA's strong academic programs, which will allow him to pursue a degree in business while competing at the NCAA level. Walker previously held a commitment to New Mexico State University but reopened his recruitment in April, ultimately selecting UTSA as his top choice. The 6-foot-2 receiver was a key contributor to the Cougars' offense last season, hauling in 45 receptions for 625 yards and 7 touchdowns.
