Centennial Hawks Break Ground on $1M Facility Upgrade

The Centennial Hawks football program in Las Cruces, New Mexico, broke ground on a $1 million facility upgrade Friday. The project aims to enhance the team's training and competition spaces, including a renovated weight room and upgraded locker facilities. The Hawks, a 6A program, finished last season with a 7-4 record and a playoff appearance. The facility upgrade is expected to boost recruiting efforts, particularly in attracting top talent from southern New Mexico. With the upgrade, the Hawks will be better equipped to compete against top 6A programs in the state, including perennial powerhouses Las Cruces High and Mayfield. The project's completion is expected to coincide with the start of the 2026 season.
