The University of Michigan has extended a scholarship offer to Class of 2027 cornerback Darius Thompson, a standout defender for the Reed Raiders (5A) in Northern Nevada. Thompson, who stands 5-foot-11 and weighs 175 pounds, boasts a 4.5-second 40-yard dash time and has recorded 10 interceptions in his first two years of varsity play. The rising senior has already received offers from Oregon State and Washington State, and is also being courted by several Mountain West programs. With his exceptional ball-hawking skills and impressive athleticism, Thompson is quickly emerging as one of the top defensive prospects in the Silver State. As the recruiting process heats up, Thompson is expected to take official visits to Michigan and other top contenders in the coming months.
