As the University of Nebraska prepares to launch its inaugural NCAA Division 1 flag football season in 2028, prospects from Nevada's 5A Sparks district are taking notice. Coaches Liz and Katie Sowers have already begun recruiting top talent, and the Reed Raiders are at the forefront of their search. For Raiders flag football players, Nebraska's Power 4 program offers a unique opportunity to compete at the highest level. Meanwhile, Ottawa University, Kansas, and Keiser University, Florida, also offer NAIA flag football scholarships. Midland University, Nebraska, is an active recruiter, and UT Arlington is developing its program. To increase their chances of being recruited, Raiders players should focus on creating highlight tapes and attending summer camps at these institutions.
