Darius Thomas Commits to Kansas State
Reed Raiders quarterback Darius Thomas has committed to Kansas State University, the school announced Friday. The Class of 2027 standout made the decision after a thorough evaluation of his options. Thomas cited the Wildcats' pro-style offense as a key factor in his decision, believing it aligns with his skillset and playing style. He also noted the opportunity to compete for a starting position in the program's depth chart. Kansas State's strong academic program, which offers a range of engineering and business majors, was another draw for Thomas. He had previously committed to the University of Nevada, but reopened his recruitment in April. The 6-foot-2, 190-pound signal-caller is expected to enroll in the fall of 2027 and participate in the Wildcats' spring practice in 2028. Thomas is considered one of the top quarterback prospects in the state of Nevada.
