Tyler Wilson Commits to Air Force Academy
Reno Huskies linebacker Tyler Wilson has committed to the Air Force Academy for the Class of 2026. The 5A standout, who played for coach Brian Castano, chose the Falcons over other service academies and Power Five programs. Wilson's commitment is a significant addition to the Air Force defense, which runs a 3-4 scheme that aligns with his strengths as a pass-rushing linebacker. He is expected to compete for a starting role immediately, given the Falcons' need for depth at the position. The Air Force Academy's rigorous academic program and opportunity to serve in the military after graduation also factored into Wilson's decision. Wilson previously held a commitment to the University of Nevada but decommitted in April to explore other options. He is a three-star recruit, according to 247Sports, and is ranked No. 25 among outside linebackers in the Class of 2026.
