Michigan Extends Offer to Liberty Patriots' Tyler Smith

The University of Michigan has extended a scholarship offer to Liberty Patriots defensive end Tyler Smith, a rising senior in the Class of 2025. Smith, who stands 6 feet 4 inches tall and weighs 240 pounds, has been one of the top defensive linemen in Nevada this offseason. He recorded 74 tackles, 22 sacks, and 10 tackles for loss as a junior. Smith has also received offers from Arizona State, Colorado, and Utah. The 5A Patriots' standout is expected to make a decision on his college commitment by the end of July, with a possible official visit to Michigan scheduled for late August. Smith's recruitment has been gaining momentum, with several Power Five programs showing interest in the talented defensive end.
