Reed Raiders S Players: Master the 'Shuttle to the Ball' Drill
To improve their reaction time and ball-hawking skills, Reed Raiders S players can benefit from the 'Shuttle to the Ball' drill. This drill involves setting up four cones in a square formation, with the quarterback at the center. The S player starts at one corner of the square, and upon receiving a signal, they must sprint to the quarterback and then back to the starting point. The drill consists of 3 sets of 10 reps, with a 30-second rest period between sets. Coaching cues include 'eyes on the quarterback' and 'get back to the ball.' This drill translates to game performance by improving the S player's ability to read the quarterback's eyes and react quickly to the ball. It also enhances their endurance and agility, allowing them to cover more ground on the field.
