Desert Pines WR DeShawn Allen Commits to Navy

Desert Pines wide receiver DeShawn Allen has committed to play football at the United States Naval Academy. The 2025 prospect, who caught 43 passes for 743 yards and 8 touchdowns as a sophomore, will join the Midshipmen in the fall of 2025. Allen, a 4-star recruit by ESPN, cited Navy's triple-option offense as a key factor in his decision. 'I love the way they run the ball and the way they use their receivers,' Allen said. 'I think I can make a big impact right away.' Allen also praised Navy's academic program, saying 'it's one of the best in the country.' He had previously committed to UNLV but decommitted in April to explore other options. The 6-foot-1, 180-pound receiver is expected to compete for a starting spot at Navy.
