Bishop Gorman RBs: Master the 'Change of Direction' Drill

๐Ÿ“ Bishop Gorman GaelsยทThursday, July 23, 2026ยทFridayNightPulse Insider

This summer, 5A powerhouse Bishop Gorman's running backs will dominate on the gridiron with one key drill: the 'Change of Direction' workout. Set up four cones in a zig-zag pattern, 5 yards apart. RBs will start at the first cone, then dash to the second, change direction, and accelerate to the third. Next, they'll change direction again and sprint to the fourth cone. Complete 3 sets of 10 reps, resting 30 seconds between sets. Coaches will shout 'Quick feet!' as the RBs change direction. This drill translates to game performance by improving agility, acceleration, and decision-making. It's a game-changer for Bishop Gorman's RBs, who will be able to make defenders miss in the open field and break tackles with ease.
