Desert Pines Flag Football Star Draws Interest from Nebraska, NAIA Powerhouses
Desert Pines Jaguars standout flag football player, sophomore sensation Jasmine Thompson, has garnered attention from top collegiate programs. The University of Nebraska, set to launch its inaugural 2028 season with coaches Liz and Katie Sowers, is among the Power 4 school recruiting Thompson. Additionally, NAIA powerhouses Ottawa University, Kansas, and Keiser University, Florida, have expressed interest in the talented athlete. Thompson's skills have also caught the attention of Midland University, Nebraska, which actively recruits flag football players. While UT Arlington's NCAA D1 program is developing its flag football program, it has not yet offered scholarships.
