Isaiah Davis Commits to SMU
Liberty Patriots running back Isaiah Davis has verbally committed to Southern Methodist University. The Class of 2025 standout will join the Mustangs' program in the fall of 2025. Davis chose SMU due to the team's up-tempo offense, which aligns with his playing style. He also cited the opportunity to contribute immediately, as the Mustangs' depth chart at running back is expected to be competitive. Additionally, SMU's academic program and reputation for producing well-rounded graduates were key factors in his decision. Davis previously held a scholarship offer from the University of Nevada, but he decided to decommit in favor of SMU. The Patriots' backfield is expected to be a strength this season, with Davis leading the way. He will look to build on a strong junior campaign, in which he rushed for over 1,200 yards and 15 touchdowns.
