Crusader TE Training: 'The Box Drill' for Dominant Playmakers

๐Ÿ“ Long Island Lutheran CrusadersยทWednesday, July 1, 2026ยทFridayNightPulse Insider

This summer, elevate your Tight End (TE) play with 'The Box Drill', a high-intensity workout designed for AA programs like Long Island Lutheran Crusaders. Coach your TE's through a series of 3 sets, 10 reps each, with a 30-second rest between sets. The drill: Start with your TE in a 3-point stance, hands on the ground, and feet shoulder-width apart. On the whistle, they'll sprint 10 yards, plant their outside foot, and box out a defender with their inside shoulder, securing the block. Focus on proper footwork, shoulder placement, and hand positioning. This drill translates to game performance by improving TE's ability to seal the edge and create space for the quarterback. By mastering 'The Box Drill', your TE's will be game-ready for the upcoming season.
