Malik Walker Commits to Iowa State
Aquinas Institute Little Irish quarterback Malik Walker has committed to Iowa State University. The Class of 2027 signal-caller chose the Cyclones over offers from several other Power Five programs. Walker is a 6-foot-2, 190-pound dual-threat quarterback who excels in Iowa State's spread offense. He is expected to compete for the starting job in the spring of 2028, given the Cyclones' current depth chart. Iowa State's academic program, which offers a strong business and engineering curriculum, also played a significant role in Walker's decision. The Little Irish quarterback had previously committed to the University of Buffalo in January 2025 but decommitted in March 2026 to explore other options. Walker's commitment is a significant addition to Iowa State's 2027 recruiting class, which is expected to be one of the top classes in the Big 12 Conference.
