Flag Football Scholarships Expand for Texas Athletes: Aquinas Institute Little Irish Players Take Note

๐Ÿ“ Aquinas Institute Little IrishยทSaturday, July 25, 2026ยทFridayNightPulse Insider

The NYSPHSAA flag football pilot district expansion is creating new scholarship pathways for Texas athletes. While the University of Nebraska is an attractive option, with Power 4 status and inaugural 2028 season coaches Liz and Katie Sowers are building a program, Texas-based UT Arlington is in development but not yet offering scholarships. However, out-of-state options like Ottawa University, Kansas, and Keiser University, Florida, are actively recruiting flag football players. Midland University, Nebraska, is also an active recruiter. Aquinas Institute Little Irish players should consider reaching out to these programs to explore verified scholarship opportunities. With the NYSPHSAA expansion, Texas athletes now have more options to pursue their flag football dreams.
