Kicking into Shape: Monroe Woodbury Crusaders' Summer Drill

๐Ÿ“ Monroe Woodbury CrusadersยทMonday, July 27, 2026ยทFridayNightPulse Insider

For the Monroe Woodbury Crusaders' kicking game to excel in the 2026 season, their kickers must develop the strength and accuracy needed to make a difference. One drill to help achieve this is the 'Step-Through Drop Ball' drill. Set up 3-4 cones in a zig-zag pattern, 10 yards apart. Kickers start at the first cone, take 3-4 steps back, and drop a ball 10 yards in front of them. They must step through the ball and kick it through the next cone. Start with 3 sets of 10 reps, focusing on proper technique. As they progress, increase the distance and add a defender to simulate game pressure. This drill improves the kicker's ability to generate power and accuracy under pressure, translating to clutch performances in game situations.
