Jayden Hall Commits to UTSA
Mentor Cardinals defensive end Jayden Hall has committed to play for the University of Texas at San Antonio (UTSA) in the Class of 2025. Hall, a 6-foot-4, 235-pound defensive end, chose UTSA after considering multiple Division I offers. The Cardinals' scheme, which features a 4-3 defensive alignment, aligns with Hall's strengths as a pass-rushing specialist. UTSA's depth chart at defensive end is expected to be competitive, providing Hall with a chance to contribute immediately. Additionally, UTSA's academic program, which offers a strong business and engineering curriculum, appealed to Hall's academic goals. Hall had previously committed to another program but reopened his recruitment in April, allowing him to explore additional options. He is expected to enroll at UTSA in the summer of 2025 and join the Roadrunners' roster for the 2025 season.
