Arkansas Lands Archbishop Moeller DE Malik Thompson
Archbishop Moeller defensive end Malik Thompson has committed to play for the University of Arkansas, the school announced Friday. The Class of 2025 standout chose the Razorbacks over other Power Five offers from schools such as Ohio State and Michigan. Thompson, a 6-foot-4, 240-pound defensive end, is expected to fit seamlessly into Arkansas' 3-4 scheme. The depth chart at defensive end is expected to be competitive, but Thompson's athleticism and pass-rushing skills make him an attractive option. The Archbishop Moeller Crusaders' defense, which Thompson has been a key contributor to, has consistently ranked among the top in Ohio under coach Moeller. Arkansas' academic program, which has a strong reputation for supporting student-athletes, was also a major factor in Thompson's decision. Thompson had previously committed to Ohio State but decommitted in May, citing a desire to explore other options. He is expected to enroll at Arkansas in the summer of 2025.
