Springfield Wildcats Flag Football Recruits Eye Nebraska's 2028 Inaugural Season

๐Ÿ“ Springfield WildcatsยทSunday, July 12, 2026ยทFridayNightPulse Insider

As the University of Nebraska prepares to launch its inaugural NCAA Division 1 flag football season in 2028, Springfield Wildcats prospects are taking notice. Coached by the Sowers sisters, Liz and Katie, the Cornhuskers are poised to make a significant impact in the Power 4. For Wildcats flag football players, this means new scholarship opportunities. Ottawa University, Kansas, a national powerhouse with up to 12 NAIA scholarships available, remains a top choice. Keiser University, Florida, and Midland University, Nebraska, are also actively recruiting. While UT Arlington's NCAA Division 1 program is still in development, it's worth monitoring. Wildcats athletes interested in pursuing flag football scholarships should focus on building relationships with these programs and creating highlight tapes showcasing their skills.
