Mentor, Ohio - Jayden Taylor, a 2025 cornerback for the Mentor Cardinals, has committed to play football at the United States Air Force Academy. Taylor, a Division I prospect, chose the Falcons due to their defensive scheme, which aligns with his athletic abilities. He cited the opportunity to contribute immediately as a true freshman, noting the Falcons' need for depth in the secondary. Additionally, Taylor was drawn to the Air Force Academy's rigorous academic program, which he believes will prepare him for a successful career beyond football. Taylor previously held offers from several Power Five programs, but ultimately chose the Falcons for their unique blend of athletic and academic opportunities. He plans to report to the academy in June 2025.
